ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - For those unable to be with us next Saturday afternoon, the UCF Football Spring Game will be broadcast live on WYGM 740 AM in Orlando, the flagship station of the UCF ISP Sports Radio Network. Coming off of a bowl season in 2009 and judging by some large crowds at spring scrimmages, interest in UCF football is high and a good turnout is expected for the Spring Game on Saturday April 17 at 1 p.m. at Bright House Networks Stadium. The flagship radio audio feed will also be streamed live on the internet here at UCFAthletics.com.
The broadcast starts at 12:45 p.m. with a pregame show and will also include a brief postgame show. WYGM will be the lone station to carry the feed.
Spring Game general admission tickets can be purchased in advance by contacting the UCF Ticket Office at (407) 823-1000, online at UCFAthletics.com, or in-person at Bright House Networks Stadium. They are just $5 for adults and free for both children 17 and under and UCF students.
The game itself is the center piece of a full day of UCF football action that includes the postgame UCF Pigskin Barbecue where fans can dine with their favorite Knights on Smokey Bones barbecue and get autographs from the team. The autograph portion is free to the public and a barbecue plate is just $5 in advance or $8 on site. UCF also hopes to be able to formally announce a very special pregame event tomorrow. After the Spring Game and barbecue, fans will also be able to see the UCF baseball team face 2006-08 College World Series participant Rice at 4 p.m., another event that will air live on WYGM 740 The Game.
Friday night before the Spring Game is UCF's annual Athletic Hall of Fame induction ceremony at Bright House Networks Stadium when the latest class of UCF legends will be properly enshrined. Now is your chance to be a part of the entire weekend for just $60, through the Hall of Fame Pass, which includes a ticket to the Hall of Fame Dinner induction on Friday night, UCF Spring Football Game and a barbecue plate at the UCF Pigskin Barbecue & Fan Day on Saturday and a weekend pass to the UCF baseball vs. Rice series.
