ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - On Saturday, the UCF men's tennis team will welcome another nationally-ranked squad to the UCF Tennis Complex when No. 29 Denver visits the Knights at 11 a.m. Admission is free for all spectators.
Saturday will serve as UCF Campus Kids Day. Youngsters are invited to bring their racket to the match, and have the chance to win prizes and compete in on-court games.
The Knights (7-4), who are ranked 70th in the country, will be hosting a ranked squad for the second time this week. On Wednesday, UCF fell 5-2 to No. 47 Indiana. The hosts swept doubles competition to begin the match, and also got a win at No. 1 singles from senior Marc Rocafort (Barcelona, Spain).
Against the Pioneers (11-2), senior Brock Sakey (Gulf Breeze, Fla.), who recently became the winningest singles player in program history, will be looking for his 80th-career victory. Sakey is 9-2 this spring.
Denver defeated Princeton Thursday in Orlando. The Pioneers have wins over five ranked squads this season, including No. 25 Arizona.
Saturday's contest is the third of five-consecutive matches at home for the Knights.
