ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - With eight regular-season contests remaining, a pair of Knights are poised to enter the UCF single-season top-10 in two different statistical categories. Sophomore guard A.J. Rompza (Chicago, Ill.) and freshman forward Keith Clanton (Orlando, Fla.) hope to soon see their names in the school's record book.

Rompza is among the national leaders in steals with 61. Cory Perry (1999-00) and Sinua Phillips (1990-91) currently occupy the 10th spot on the UCF steals list with 64.

Rompza is averaging 2.8 steals, good for seventh nationally. He needs 18 swipes to enter the program's career steals top-10.

Clanton has also been excelling on the defensive end for the Knights this year. He has 36 blocks as a rookie and will enter the UCF top-10 with just three more swats. Chuck Roberts (1993-94) and Dean Rossin (1979-80) are tied for 10th with 39 blocks.

Both Knights will be looking to add to their season totals when UCF returns to action Wednesday at Memphis. UCF's next home game is Feb. 13 versus Tulane at the UCF Arena.

UCF's contest at Memphis will be televised live on CSS in the southeast, starting at 7 p.m. Eastern.
