ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Join the UCF women's rowing team on Feb. 20 at 3 p.m., as it hosts its 2010 Open House. The event is open to high school rowers interested in rowing at the collegiate level. Attendees will meet coaches, academic support staff, current student-athletes and future athletes, as well as learn about the UCF rowing program.
Saturday afternoon, the Knights' will show high school rowers the exciting campus and what a typical day is like in the life of a UCF student-athlete. Food and beverages will be provided for a price of $7.00. Students will also have an opportunity to attend the UCF women's basketball game at 7:00 p.m. that evening in the UCF Arena.
Participants are encouraged to come back the following day, as the Junior Women's National Team will conduct its ID Camp at the UCF Boathouse.
The Junior National Team ID Camp will take place on Feb. 21 at the UCF Boathouse from 9 a.m. -3 p.m. Campers will participate in an extended warm-up and a potential on-the-water-row depending on the weather. The camp is designed to help the junior athletes improve their rowing skills and explore the option of becoming a Junior National Team member.
