ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - UCF softball fans not able to make it out to the ballpark in 2010 will still be able to keep a close eye on the Knights, as the squad released its 2010 broadcast schedule Monday. The slate is highlighted by two contests set to be aired regionally on Bright House Sports Network against perennial national power, UCLA, and in-state rival, Florida.

The matchup with the Bruins on Feb. 12 at the NTC Elite Invitational is the first of BHSN's two broadcasts. The contest, which is slated for 7 p.m., will air on tape delay on Feb. 13 at 12 p.m., before airing again on Feb. 15 at 2 p.m. and Feb. 17 at 3:30 p.m.

The second game the network will air in 2010 will be the March 31 showdown with the Gators at the UCF Softball Complex. The contest is scheduled to get underway at 7 p.m., with Bright House Sports Network airing the game live on Bright House channel 47 for digital cable subscribers.

Another way fans can keep up with the Knights this season is through UCFAthletics.com, as the site will feature radio broadcasts for 43 of the squad's 56 contests. Besides UCF's 33 home games, the voice of UCF softball, Eric Lopez, will also be broadcasting all five contests at the NTC Elite Invitational on Feb. 12-14, every game of the NFCA Leadoff Classic in Columbus, Ga., on Feb. 26-28 and all the action from the Conference USA Championship in Houston, Texas, on May 13-15.

Every game at the UCF Softball Complex will also feature live video and live stats.

Additional in-state road contests could potentially be added to the broadcast schedule during the season and will be reflected immediately online.

The Knights open the 2010 campaign this weekend at the NTC Elite Invitational, where they will square off with some of the top teams in the nation. The squad will face No. 11 Oklahoma and No. 8 UCLA Friday at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m., respectively, before taking on No. 16 Tennessee and No. 7 Georgia Saturday again at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. The Black and Gold will conclude play in the tournament Sunday when they take on Chattanooga at 1 p.m.
