ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Numerous teams and student-athletes at UCF will join together this Saturday to host an event in conjunction with National Girls and Women in Sports Day. The event, which will feature mini clinics put on by UCF women's sports teams, will take place from 5-6 p.m. at the UCF Track & Field and Soccer Complex. An autograph session at 6 p.m. and the women's basketball team's game against East Carolina at 7 p.m. both will follow at the UCF Arena.
During the event from 5-6 p.m., participants will rotate to mini clinics hosted by different UCF teams and learn about each of the specific sports. Members of the women's soccer, women's golf, women's tennis, volleyball, softball, rowing and track and field teams will be leading the stations.
The event is free for all girls 12 and under. At the conclusion of the clinic, the participants will go to the lobby of UCF Arena for an autograph session. Each girl will also receive a free ticket to the women's basketball game against East Carolina, which is set to tip-off at 7 p.m.
