ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The 2010 UCF Golf Fundraiser Tournament will be held Monday, Feb. 8, and will give golf enthusiasts the opportunity to play on one of the premier courses in the nation, the Isleworth Golf & Country Club in nearby Windermere. All proceeds from the event will benefit the UCF men's and women's golf programs.

The tournament is limited to 18 foursomes, so spaces in the event should fill up fast. Three packages for the event are available, and each one includes a pair of golf shoes for each player, plus a dozen UCF golf balls. Sponsor packages are also available.

The day at Isleworth includes lunch, 18 holes of golf, dinner with an open bar and a live auction. UCF men's golf coach Bryce Wallor, women's golf coach Courtney Trimble, former UCF star and PGA TOUR professional Cliff Kresge and current LPGA star Brittany Lang will participate in the tournament.

"Our program's recent trip to the NCAA Championships would not have been possible without the investment that the UCF community has made in our program. This event enables our program to vie for championships at the highest level. The opportunity to play at Isleworth makes this event truly unique," Waller said.

Proceeds from past UCF Fundraiser Tournaments helped UCF construct its new practice facility near campus.

"The UCF Golf Practice Facility at the Twin Rivers Golf Club is one of the finest facilities in the country," Trimble said. "It is a direct reflection of the support from UCF and its donors. The facility has garnered national attention and has provided us with the ability to recruit on an elite level and gives our players a place to call home and continue their quest to become the best. This is a great example of a need being met through the support of individuals and organizations in this community."

One of the two country clubs that participates in the Tavistock Cup, the Isleworth Golf & Country Club features one of the most challenging courses in the area. The course is not open to the public.

UCF alum D. Brent Carli is serving as the tournament chair.

"Please join us in helping to support the young men and women of our UCF golf programs," Carli said. "The support from our UCF and central Florida community has truly made this event so fantastic and enjoyable in the past. We are fortunate to host this year's event at the Isleworth Golf & Country Club, our community's most prestigious and renowned venue. If you ever wanted to play Isleworth, this is your chance."
