ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - With the spring campaign set to start later this month, a pair of UCF doubles teams have entered the national rankings. Senior Marc Rocafort (Barcelona, Spain) and junior Blaze Schwartz (Pensacola, Fla.) are 21st in the latest ITA doubles rankings, while sophomores Joe Delinks (Falmouth, Mass.) and Eugene Dolgovykh (Palm Coast, Fla.) are tied for 39th.
Rocafort and Schwartz went 6-0 during the fall tournament season. The pair had a great showing at the USF Invitational in Tampa, posting a 3-0 mark to claim the Flight 1 title. At the UCF Invitational in October, Rocafort and Schwartz were 2-0. In A Draw play, the pair topped the ninth-ranked team in the country, Diego Cubas and Ivan Machado of South Carolina, 8-5.
Delinks and Dolgovykh registered a 3-0 mark during the fall.
Head coach Bobby Cashman's Knights will open the dual-match season on Feb. 22 at Florida.
