ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF track and field team will be traveling to Lexington, Ky., this weekend to compete in the Rod McCravy Invitational held Jan. 29-30 and hosted by Kentucky. The meet pits UCF against 14 rival schools and kicks off at 6 p.m. Friday evening with the pole vault and triple jump competitions. Field events will continue throughout the day Saturday with the meet set to conclude with the 4x400 relay, scheduled for 4:50 p.m.
The Knights are coming into this meet after competing in the Carle/Health Alliance Classic last Saturday, hosted by Illinois, finishing the weekend in third. UCF saw five second-place finishes at the meet and, for the second week in a row, witnessed two Knights setting NCAA provisional qualifying marks in the 60-meter hurdles.
The Knights also set a number of personal bests in last weekend's competition. These were set for UCF by Tomika Story (Long Jump, 5.63m/18-5.75), Micaela Wimberly (200m, 25.11), Ashley Bolling (60m hurdles, 8.81) and Tiki James (60m, 7.61).
