ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - We check in with a pair of UCF baseball freshmen in part four of "Taking the Field With..." as Darnell Sweeney and Jack Sterritt are today's focus.
#21 Darnell Sweeney - SS - Fr. - 5-11, 160 - Miramar, Fla./American Senior
Q: What is your first memory of playing baseball growing up?
- My first memory is my dad coaching me.
Q: Is there a game you played in that you remember the most?
- The games I played in Japan.
Q: What have you enjoyed the most so far about being at UCF?
- Being with the team and the freedom.
Q: If you won a trip to see a game at any ballpark in the country, where would go and why?
- I would want to go to the new Mets stadium because they have a tribute to Jackie Robinson and without him I would not be playing.
Q: What would be the one place or thing you want to visit before you die?
- France.
Q: Is there anything you have to do before a game, such as any pregame rituals?
- I listen to my gospel playlist on my iPod.
Q: Growing up, what was your video game of choice as well as your favorite place to go as a kid?
- As long as it is a sports video game I was good, and I loved being outside, being active and doing anything.
Q: What do you prefer watching: Top Chef, 24, American Idol, Price is Right, Deadliest Catch, The Office?
- Price is Right because when I was young my grandmother watched it every morning and I got hooked on it.
Q: What reality show would you like to be on the most?
- Pros vs. Joes.
Q: If someone was making a movie about your life, who would you want to play yourself?
- Me.
Q: What would be the one thing you would wait in line overnight to have?
- To see Jesus Christ.
Q: Tell us one thing you would like people to know about you.
- I am a really good dancer.

Q: What is your first memory of playing baseball growing up?
- Running the bases the wrong way when I was four at Jax Beach Little League.
Q: Is there a game you played in that you remember the most?
- My first high school game I pitched in against Providence, the state champs, in 30-degree weather and came two outs away from a perfect game. We won 1-0.
Q: What have you enjoyed the most so far about being at UCF?
- My teamates and the food.
Q: If you won a trip to see a game at any ballpark in the country, where would go and why?
- Fenway because the Green Monster and the Fenway franks. And Rosenblatt Stadium.
Q: What would be the one place or thing you want to visit before you die?
- Egypt and the pyramids. And Omaha.
Q: Growing up, what was your video game of choice as well as your favorite place to go as a kid?
- 007 on N64, and Adventure Landing in Jax Beach.
Q: What do you prefer watching: Top Chef, 24, American Idol, Price is Right, Deadliest Catch, The Office?
- The Office because Michael Scott is hillarious.
Q: If someone was making a movie about your life, who would you want to play yourself?
- Will Ferrell because he's tall and fits my personality pretty well.
Q: What would be the one thing you would wait in line overnight to have?
- Jaguars Tickets.

Tickets for Baseball Knight Fest Jan. 30 are on sale as well. The event is free to everyone who wish to meet the team and get autographs, but for just $5 a ticket fans will be able to grab a ballpark meal and be eligible for prizes. Opening day is set for Friday, Feb. 19, against Savannah State.
