ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - After an impressive showing against C-USA opponents Memphis and UAB this past weekend, moving Emma Cannon into the top-10 on the school's all-time scoring list, the junior has now been recognized as the Bright House Student-Athlete of the week.
On Friday night, Cannon tied a career high with 20 rebounds against Memphis, a total which also ties for the fourth most in a game in school history. She also posted eight point and two blocks in this game.
On Sunday, Cannon registered her sixth double-double of the season and 39th of her career, scoring 16 points and grabbing 13 rebounds against UAB. For the weekend, Cannon averaged 16.5 rebounds per game, including eight on the offensive end
The Knights take to the court once again as they face another C-USA foe in Southern Miss on Thursday, Jan. 21. The game is set to begin at 7 p.m.
