ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF men's tennis team will play in its first tournament this spring beginning this Friday at the USF Spring Invitational in Tampa. All of the Knights will be representing UCF in the three-day tournament hosted by USF at the USF Varsity Tennis Complex.

With all of the Knights participating, this weekend will be the perfect time for the squad to show head coach Bobby Cashman how prepared they are for the tough spring schedule ahead.

Beginning the spring season, UCF has a pair of doubles teams in the national rankings. Senior Marc Rocafort (Barcelona, Spain) and junior Blaze Schwartz (Pensacola, Fla.) went 6-0 during the fall and are 21st in the latest ITA doubles rankings, while sophomores Joe Delinks (Falmouth, Mass.) and Eugene Dolgovykh (Palm Coast, Fla.) are tied for 39th. During the USF Invitational this past fall, Rocafort and Schwartz went 3-0 during the tournament, claiming the Flight 1 title.

The Knights will compete against three teams in the invitational; USF, Memphis and No. 56 Radford. Competition will begin at 10 a.m. Friday and continue throughout the weekend.

After five successful tournaments in the fall season and the depth of the team leading into the spring, the team looks forward to making great strides in Conference USA.
