"Hoops for the Holidays" Offers UCF Fans Chance to Give Back

ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - UCF fans can help underprivileged children enjoy the excitement of college basketball at the UCF Arena by participating in the "Hoops for the Holidays" program. Fans can make an $8 donation and UCF will provide one ticket for a child to attend games at the UCF Holiday Classic, which starts Dec. 29.

UCF is partnering with United Way and the Boys and Girls Club, and 950 tickets have already been donated by Knight fans.

To participate in the "Hoops for the Holidays" program, contact the UCF ticket sales office at (407) UCF-1000. Season ticket holders who are unable to attend the UCF Holiday Classic can visit UCFAthletics.com to donate their tickets to underprivileged youngsters.

The Knights will open the UCF Holiday Classic on Dec. 29 against Liberty at 7 p.m. Buffalo and Jacksonville are also playing in the two-day tournament.
