UCF AT THE BOWL BY THE BAY: FRIDAY MORNING | THURSDAY EVENING | THURSDAY AFTERNOON | WEDNESDAY EVENING | WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON | TUESDAY EVENING | TUESDAY AFTERNOON

It is starting to feel more like a regular football game today in the UCF camp as, following a gala kickoff luncheon at noon, the Knights held an extended walk-through at Tropicana Field allowing the team to familiarize itself with the stadium's surface and roof. Meanwhile, the fans are in full party mode.

The team is now sequestered back at the hotel going through its standard Friday night meeting schedule. Fans, however, are having a great time all over downtown St. Petersburg, including at the bowl's official Block Party at Ferg's Sports Bar and Grill where head coach George O'Leary also hosted a special bowl edition of his radio show. Earlier today, the bowl held a battle of the bands at the TradeWinds resort and the UCF Marching Knights emerged victorious. UCF's cheerleaders also beat their Rutgers counterparts in a tug-of-war on the beach. MORE HERE.

Saturday will bring the moment that we have all been waiting for, the St. Petersburg Bowl Presented by Beef `O' Brady's as UCF faces Rutgers at 8 p.m. on ESPN.
