UCF AT THE BOWL BY THE BAY: WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON | TUESDAY EVENING | TUESDAY AFTERNOON
As the sun set behind the St. Petersburg skyline Wednesday evening the Knights found themselves in an ideal viewing spot on the top floor of the St. Petersburg Pier. UCF and Rutgers took part in the annual Party at the Pier as a part of the St. Petersburg Bowl Presented by Beef `O' Brady's social schedule.
Both teams were welcomed to the civic landmark and the expansive deck outside of the roof-top Cha Cha Coconuts restaurant for a couple of hours of fun on a comfortable evening. A very heavy round of appetizers greeted the two hungry teams as did a live band, several Wiis projected onto the walls of the structure and other activities along with the best view available of downtown St. Petersburg.
As usual, Jeff Sharon and the SportsKnight crew was there to capture the festivities and presents today's second video below which features comments from Brett Dulaney, the bowl game's Executive Director.
The Knights are pretty much on their own now until tonight's curfew. Thursday will bring another full day. After meetings in the morning followed by a practice, the team will head to the Tradewinds resort across town for the bowl game's annual Beach Bash. The Knights will have their annual team awards banquet tomorrow night back at the hotel as well.
