The Knights have arrived safe and sound here in St. Petersburg and UCFAthletics.com was there every step of the way as we will be all week. The team held a practice this morning at the Nicholson Fieldhouse and then hopped on the busses for an easy two-hour ride down to Tampa, across the Howard Franklin Bridge and into St. Petersburg.

Jeff Sharon has the first installment of the twice daily SportsKnight video updates here for your viewing pleasure.

The Knights left their home in the Wayne Densch Sports center to signs that read "3 bowl games. 1 championship. 0 bowl wins." You can read John Denton's account of that drive and the scene at the team departure HERE.

Earlier today, The Voice of the Knights, Marc Daniels, wrote an excellent column about what a wonderful week this is to be a UCF fan between football going to a bowl game, men's basketball facing rival USF and Top 15 UConn and women's basketball facing No. 12 Florida State on Thursday night at the UCF Arena. You can read it HERE.

On tap for tonight is the player and VIP welcome party at a local nightclub and we expect to have another update for you later on tonight with a recap of that event.
