ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Tip-off for UCF's women's basketball game against Notre Dame on Dec. 29 has been moved from 1 p.m. to noon. The game against the Fighting Irish, the second meeting all-time between the two programs, will be televised live nationally on CBS College Sports.
The game will be one of six UCF games televised in 2009-10, including another game on Jan. 31 against Tulane slated to air live on CBS College Sports. The team's game against UAB (Jan. 17) will air live on ESPN2 while contests against Alabama (Dec. 14), Southern Miss (Jan. 21) and Houston (Feb. 20).
UCF (2-2) has played only four games early in the season, but begins a tough stretch of four games in nine days Saturday at FAU at 5 p.m. The balanced Knights are the only team in Conference USA with four players currently averaging in double figures, including Marshay White (13.8), Emma Cannon (13.3), Chelsie Wiley (11.8) and Aisha Patrick (11.5).
After games against FAU, Alabama, No. 7/12 Florida State and Jackson State, No. 3/4 Notre Dame (8-0) may provide UCF's toughest non-conference test. Led by highly-touted freshman Skylar Diggans, currently averaging 14.1 points per game, Notre Dame's perfect record includes wins over Oklahoma, South Carolina and Michigan State.
