ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - On the heels of its success in 2008-09, the UCF women's basketball team is slated to appear on television six times during the upcoming 2009-10 campaign. A sixth game, a home contest against Tulane on Jan. 31 was recently added to the Knights' television package.

The six television games are the most of any Conference USA team in the 16-game league television package, and UCF is the lone team to have non-conference games as part of the television package. All six of the television games will be home games played at the UCF Arena.

The Jan. 31 game against Tulane will be produced by CSS and broadcast live on CBS College Sports at 2 p.m. CSS will then air the game same-day tape delayed at 6 p.m.

The previously announced women's basketball TV games include three on Bright House Sports Network and one apiece on ESPN2 and CBS College Sports.

Bright House will produce and broadcast the Knights' home games against Alabama (Dec. 14), Southern Miss (Jan. 21) and Houston (Feb. 20). CBS College Sports will air UCF's game against fourth-ranked Notre Dame on Dec. 29 while ESPN2 will carry the Jan. 17 game against UAB.

Head coach Joi Williams and her team went 17-17 in 2008-09 and claimed the 2009 C-USA Tournament title. Williams returns four starters from the NCAA Tournament team, including 2009-10 C-USA Preseason Player of the Year Emma Cannon (Rochester, N.Y.), who averaged 15.5 points and 11.6 rebounds per game as a sophomore last season.

UCF kicks off the 2009-10 season in less than two weeks, traveling to Murfreesboro, Tenn., to play Middle Tennessee State at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 15. The Blue Raiders return the nation's returning scorer from a year ago, Alysha Clark, and are ranked 24th in the country in the preseason Associated Press poll.

Including its postseason run, the Knights appeared on national television four times last season, including two games on CBS College Sports and another two on ESPN2.

Season and single-game tickets are currently available with the UCF Ticket Office. Knight fans can purchase season tickets for each of the team's 14 home games for just $39. For more information on purchasing tickets, contact the UCF ticket office at (407) 823-1000.
