ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Saturday the Knights welcome conference rival Tulane for their final home game of the 2009 season. Coming off one of the most memorable victories at Bright House Network Stadium last week against Houston, the Knights hope to stay hot. Seniors will be honored on the field during the pre-game show to commemorate their hard work and dedication to the team. Fans are encouraged to arrive early and bring canned food to help the UCF Student-Athlete Advisory Committee with donations for the local community.
Before the 2 p.m. kickoff, fans will have a variety of activities to participate in both in and outside of Bright House Networks Stadium including a Blackhawk Helicopter Flyover by the Florida Army National Guard at 1:45 p.m.
The largest Fan Faire of the season is set to begin at 12 p.m. with live music from Howl at the Moon on the Orange County Parks & Recreation stage.
Game sponsor First Baptist Oviedo will have seven interactive fan activities set-up including bounce houses, football throws, an obstacle course, tee-ball and a golf simulator.
The National Guard FLW College Fishing will have their Reel Life festival set-up on the North end of IOA Plaza. Numerous interactive fan booths will be sponsored by the festival including a rock climbing wall and a surfing blow-up. FLW Outdoors College Fishing Tournament will be giving away hats, shirts, soft coozies and beads.
Fan Faire will feature:
• Coke Zero Sampling and Coke Town interactive game area
• E-Tour &Travel cornhole games plus coozie and keychain giveaway
• Expressway Authority passing out free transponder holders
• Coozies and fans from Bright House Networks
• Representatives from Holler Classic will be passing out stickers and rally towels
• Coupons and cookies from the Parking Spot
• Complimentary Mardi Gras beads and bandanas from Tijuana Flats
• Gift certificates from Houlihan's Restaurant
• Interactive games and gift certificates from Domino's Pizza
• Blue Man Group prize wheel and giveaway items
• Gift certificates from Costco
• Gift certificates from Smokey Bones
• Kitson & Partners will hold a putting and chipping contest for free golf certificate
The Marines will be hosting a pull-up challenge near the student section with prizes ranging from dog tags and lanyards to stickers and magnets.
