MADISON, Wis. (UCFAthletics.com) - UCF women's soccer senior Becca Thomas (Burlington, Wash.) was named a 2009 TopDrawerSoccer.com Team of the Season honoree this week. The 2009 Conference USA Midfielder of the Year, Thomas earned a spot on the national third team the website announced.
The Knights' center-mid, Thomas has racked up six goals and seven assists for 19 points this season. She scored four-straight game-winning goals at one point, which helped her earn C-USA Offensive Player of the Week accolades in consecutive weeks. Thomas also was named to the C-USA All-Tournament Team last weekend.
Thomas ranks fifth all-time at UCF with 196 shots and 28 assists. She also stands in fifth place with 10 career game-winners.
The senior is ready to help her team open the NCAA Tournament First Round Friday when the Black and Gold take on Milwaukee at 6 p.m. ET in Madison, Wis.
