Fan Faire set for Homecoming Weekend

ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The "Armored in Black" homecoming weekend begins Friday night when the UCF Men's basketball team opens the season against UMass at 7:00p.m. at the UCF Arena, before coming to a close Saturday as the Knights Football team takes on No. 13 Houston at Bright House Networks Stadium, where in addition to homecoming, the Golden Knights Club will be celebrating. Fans are encouraged to arrive early and dressed in black for the homecoming festivities over the weekend.

Fan Faire for the football game set to begin at 10:00a.m. with live music from Howl at the Moon on the Orange County Parks & Recreation stage.

Before the 12:00p.m. kickoff, fans will have plenty of fun activities to participate in outside of Bright House Networks Stadium.

Game sponsor, SunTrust will register fans pre-game for a chance to participate in an on field contest called "Throw for Gold" for a chance to win $5,000 cash. SunTrust will also give away roll-up UCF football pocket banners to the first 5,000 fans.

Fan Faire will feature:
? Coke Zero Sampling and Coke Town interactive game area
? E-Tour &Travel cornhole games and coozie and keychain giveaway
? Expressway Authority passing out free transponder holders
? Coozies and fans from Bright House Networks
? Representatives from Holler Classic will be passing out stickers and rally towels
? Coupons and cookies from the Parking Spot
? Complimentary Mardi Gras beads and bandanas from Tijuana Flats
? Gift certificates from Houlihan's Restaurant
? Interactive games with the opportunity to win gift certificates from Domino's Pizza
? Blue Man Group prize wheel and giveaway items
? Gift certificates from Costco
? Smokey Bones representatives will be passing out gift certificates
? Kitson & Partners will hold a putting and chipping contest for free golf certificates

Several promotional activities are planned for the concourse area inside the stadium as well. The Marines will have a pull-up challenge near the student section and pass out dog tags, lanyards, stickers and magnets.
