ORLANDO, Fla. - The UCF women's golf team will wrap up a solid first fall season under new head coach Courtney Trimble on Monday and Tuesday when the Knights compete in the 32nd annual Pat Bradley Invitational. The event will be held at Pelican Preserve Golf and Country Club in Fort Myers and is hosted by FIU.
The event will feature two rounds on Monday and a single round on Tuesday. Shotgun starts will go off at 8:30 a.m. each morning. The event started in 1977 and is named after the LPGA Hall of Fame golfer, FIU's first-ever All-American and a member of the school's Hall of Fame. It was won last year by the host Golden Panthers.
In addition to UCF, the 15-team field also includes Bradley, Cincinnati, Daytona State, Drake, Florida Atlantic, Florida Gulf Coast, FIU, Furman, Missouri State, Murray State, North Texas, South Florida, Stetson and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
UCF will line up behind sophomore Elisa Aoki (Bradenton, Fla.). Two freshmen will follow Aoki in Carolin Pinegger (Marquartstein, Germany) and Valentina Fontaine (Santiago, Chile). Junior Katie Detlefsen (Eagan, Minn.) and senior Victoria Tomko (Lontzen, Belgium) will round out the UCF lineup with freshman Sammy Vass (Tain, Scotland) competing as an individual.
