ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF Women's Tennis team is traveling to Athens, Ga., to compete in the Wilson/ITA Southeast Region Championships this weekend, Oct. 22-26. The Knights will be playing against 14 other Division I schools.
The qualifying draw was planned for Thursday, however it was cancelled due to rain. All players who were entered in the qualifying draw will play in the main draw.
Main draw competition is set to begin on Friday at 8 a.m., with the first two rounds of singles and the first round of doubles. The singles and doubles finals are scheduled for Monday. The singles and doubles champions will earn spots in the ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships, Nov. 5-8, hosted by Yale University in New Haven, Conn.
