GAINESVILLE, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Freshman Jenna Doerfler completed her first collegiate tournament with her first singles victory Sunday at the Florida Gator Fall Classic. The Winter Park native cruised past USF's Jessica Zok, 6-2, 6-1, as the Knights also played Ole Miss in doubles play.
Doerfler, along with classmate Allison Hodges, each claimed wins during the tournament, while Jenny Frisell upset the No. 25-ranked player, Ole Miss' Kristi Boxx, on Saturday.
The Knights will now take a weekend off before traveling to Jacksonville for the North Florida Tournament Oct. 9-11.
