Video Feature: New Zealand Invasion
ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - For freshmen Ben Hunt, Nicholas Robson and Finlay Milne, the adjustment to college life and their first season as student-athletes has been far different than many of their peers. Having come to UCF from New Zealand, the men's soccer trio is also adjusting to living in a country that is nearly 8,000 miles away from their homes.
Becca Hurley, a UCFAthletics.com reporter, recently caught up with the three players as they prepare for this weekend's UCF Fall Classic. The players discuss coming to college together and adjusting to life in the United States.
The three, who have all played on the Under-20 New Zealand National Team, are proving early in the season that they have the talent and abilities to make an impact on the Knights. Robson has one goal and a team-high two assists, Hunt has scored a game-winning goal and Milne has solidified his place as a starting defender.
The Knights will play Friday night at 7:30 p.m. against Houston Baptist before hosting Manhattan Sunday at 1 p.m. All games are free for all in attendance and will be held at the UCF Soccer Complex.
