ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - UCF football fans around the nation will be able to get live updates during games from Bright House Networks Stadium by following the Knights on the popular social networking service Twitter this season. UCF Athletics will begin tweeting live when the Knights return home to face Buffalo at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Timely tweet-by-tweet updates from the press box will be given frequently throughout all home football contests during the 2009 campaign.
Fans can keep up to date by following the Knights on UCF football's official Twitter home at Twitter.com/UCF_FootballSID
Twitter, a free social networking and micro-blogging service available at twitter.com, allows its users to send and read other users' updates, also known as "tweets". Fans can receive updates on Knights football at their official Twitter page, on their mobile phone, via instant messaging or through e-mail. In addition, the Knights football Twitter page can be added to blogs or other social networking sites.
Fans do not need to sign up for Twitter to access the site, but to receive automatic updates, fans will need to create a Twitter account. To create a free account, simply click on the button in the upper-right corner of the page that reads, "Join Today!"
