ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - As excitement for the upcoming volleyball season continues to mount, fans and media members will be able to catch their first glimpse of the 2009 UCF volleyball squad Saturday, Aug. 15, at the Knights' 2009 Fan and Media Day.
The event will kick off at 12 p.m. on the third floor of The Venue at UCF, where attendees will be able to share in a free lunch with the team, second-year head coach Todd Dagenais and his staff.
Following lunch, players and staff will be available to the media beginning around 12:45 p.m., before heading off to prepare for practice which is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. Fans and media are encouraged to stay and attend the Knights' practice session.
There is no charge to attend the event and free parking is available in parking garage F, located behind The Venue at UCF, but fans wanting to attend Fan Day must RSVP to Student Director of Volleyball Operations Katie Duggan by email at chopper1030@bellsouth.net by Saturday morning to reserve a seat to eat lunch with their favorite volleyball team.
The excitement surrounding the 2009 volleyball season will only intensify, as the squad opens the season in a mere 16 days on its home court for the Radisson-UCF Invitational on Aug. 28.
