ORLANDO, Fla. (www.UCFAthletics.com) - UCF announced on Thursday that its home games vs. Samford (Sept. 5) and Buffalo (Sept. 19) will kickoff at 7:30 p.m. Both games were previously scheduled to kickoff at 6 p.m. Additionally, UCF's Homecoming game vs. Houston on Nov. 14 has been confirmed for a noon kickoff.
The Knights' home contests vs. the Memphis Tigers (3:30 p.m., Oct. 3), Miami Hurricanes (7:30 p.m., Oct. 17, CBS CS), Marshall (8:15 p.m., Nov. 1, ESPN) and Tulane Green Wave (2:00 p.m., Nov. 21) have already been released.
"We've had a chance to review feedback and we collectively discussed the best way to accommodate our fans in enjoying another great home schedule of UCF football," said Keith Tribble, Director of Athletics. "I know our longtime fans will appreciate having two additional night kickoffs. This also allows our fans to continue to enjoy an excellent game day atmosphere as we have seen during our first two seasons at Bright House Networks Stadium."
For Homecoming, with the possibility of a noon national television broadcast that would not be announced until 12 days prior to kickoff, the Alumni Association, Homecoming Committee and Athletics all agreed that it would be simpler to give our fans an announced time to plan their days around instead of keeping the game time listed as "TBA" until Nov. 2.
