In Victory Over Egypt, UCF's Sosa Totals 12 Points

AUCKLAND, New Zealand (UCFAthletics.com) - UCF sophomore guard Isaac Sosa (Guaynabo, Puerto Rico) helped Puerto Rico to another victory at the FIBA U19 World Championship, scoring 12 points in a 99-71 win over Egypt Wednesday. Puerto Rico is 4-2 at the 16-team tournament and will meet Croatia in the quarterfinals Friday.

Sosa shot 5-of-13 overall and hit two 3-pointers in 22 minutes in Wednesday's win. He also had four rebounds.

At 11.3 points per game, Sosa is Puerto Rico's second-leading scorer.

He is shooting 62.5 percent from 3-point range, which is tied for first among all tournament participants. In six contests, Sosa is 15-of-24 from deep.

Argentina, Australia, Canada, France, Greece and the United States have also advanced to the quarterfinals.
