UCF Athletics Now Offering the UCF Gold Pass

July 23, 2009

ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - UCF fans now have an opportunity to package their season tickets to volleyball, women's basketball and softball by purchasing the UCF Gold Pass for just $75, the UCF ticket office announced Thursday. Buying the UCF Gold Pass instead of buying season tickets for each sport separately saves Knights fans $34 per ticket.

To order your UCF Gold Pass, call the UCF ticket office at (407)823-1000 or go online to the UCF Gold Pass ticket page.

The volleyball team put together its most successful season in five years in 2008, and the Knights will host 16 regular season matches and two home tournaments in 2009. UCF will play in-state rival USF in a Sept. 15 match dubbed VolleyBowl II. When purchased separately, 2009 volleyball season tickets cost $30 apiece.

Erin Campbell, Janine Williams, Lauren Williams and Lauren Rosenthal headline the returning players for head coach Todd Dagenais, set to start his second season at the helm of the UCF program.

The women's basketball team returns four starters from a team which made the program's first NCAA Tournament appearance since 1999. Head coach Joi Williams, the 2009 Conference USA Coach of the Year, led UCF to 15 wins in its last 21 games, including four wins to capture the C-USA tournament title. While the complete home schedule has not been released, the Knights are slated to host Notre Dame, Florida State, Alabama and Washington as well as eight conference games.

Headlining the returners for Williams' squad are all-conference juniors Emma Cannon and Chelsie Wiley. Cannon and Wiley averaged 15.5 and 14.9 points respectively as sophomores a season ago, and both are on target to join the program's 1,000-point club. General admission season tickets for women's basketball can be purchased separately for $39.

The softball team finished last season at 27-27, and the Knights return all-conference players Tiffany Lane and Abby McClain in 2010. Head coach Renee Leurs-Gillispie also welcomes back two players who earned spots on the C-USA All-Freshman team, Natalie Land and Vanessa Perez.

The 2010 softball schedule has not yet been released, but season tickets can be purchased separately for $40. The volleyball, women's basketball and softball season tickets combine for a value of $109, meaning fans purchasing the UCF Gold Pass for just $75 save a total of $34.
