ORLANDO, Fla. - The weekend of August 21-23 is shaping up to be a big one for UCF fans. Friday August 21 will see the sold-out UCF Football Countdown to Kickoff Luncheon, a function whose demand has forced the creation of additional seating. That event will kickoff a whole weekend of fun for Knights fans as Sunday, August 23 will serve as the team's annual Football Fall FanFest.
The August 23 Football Fall FanFest, which will run from 3-5 p.m. in the west concourse of Bright House Networks Stadium, is the best chance this fall to meet, greet and take photos with your entire 2009 Knights football team.
For the second year in a row, UCF will also hold a new season ticket holder select-a-seat event from 1-3 p.m. Great seats in the priority sections are still available. Please meet the ticket sales staff in the lobby of the Roth Tower on the west side of the stadium to help get you on board for the 2009 season.
There is no admission charge and parking is free in lots E6, E7 and E8 on the east side of the stadium. The 2009 football schedule poster and schedule cards will also be available for free, courtesy of the UCF Athletics Sports Marketing Office.
The UCF campus Barnes & Noble Bookstore will be on site to provide additional items to get signed by the student-athletes and coaches. Also, WJRR 101.1-FM will have a remote van broadcasting at the event.
UCF's season opener is slated for Sept. 5 against Samford at Bright House Networks Stadium. The Knights will play seven contests at home in 2009, including games against Miami and division rivals Marshall and Memphis.
At this event, UCF ticket sales representatives will be on hand to assist in guaranteeing your seats to this year's exciting home slate. Additionally, members from the Golden Knights Club will be available to provide further details on becoming proud supporters of UCF Athletics.
