ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - As the 2009-10 school year approaches, season tickets for the UCF women's basketball team are now on sale through the UCF ticket office. Season tickets are starting at just $39, and fans can lock in their seats to watch the home slate of the defending Conference USA tournament champions. The ticket office is taking orders for both new season tickets and renewals.
For more information about season tickets and the arena's premium seating options, including club seats, group discounts, courtside tables and suites, contact the UCF ticket sales office at (407) UCF-1000, visit the women's basketball ticket page or buy your season tickets online.
While the complete home schedule has yet to be released for the Knights, the slate will include eight contests against C-USA opponents while Notre Dame, Florida State, Alabama and Washington are expected on UCF's home non-conference schedule. Last season, UCF went 9-4 at UCF Arena, including an unblemished 8-0 record in league play.
The Knights return four starters and 10 letterwinners from a squad that went 17-17 a season ago, including an 11-5 C-USA mark. Head coach Joi Williams, the reigning C-USA Coach of the Year, led UCF to 15 wins in its final 21 games and an NCAA Tournament berth.
Headlining the returners are all-conference juniors Emma Cannon (Rochester, N.Y.) and Chelsie Wiley (Riviera Beach, Fla.). Cannon and Wiley averaged 15.5 and 14.9 points respectively as sophomores a season ago, and both are on target to join the program's 1,000-point club in 2009-10.
