Albert Boone Named UCF Football Director of Player Personnel

ORLANDO, Fla. - UCF football head coach George O'Leary announced that Albert Boone as been hired as the Knights' director of player personnel. Boone will focus on assisting with UCF's recruiting efforts.

In his new role, Boone will manage UCF's recruiting database, handle correspondence with recruits, help coordinate recruiting travel and assist recruits during the admission process. He will oversee all on-campus visits by recruits and also direct events including junior day and high school coaches' clinics.

Boone is no stranger to UCF Athletics. From 2005-08, he served as an assistant general manager for ISP Sports on campus. During his tenure at ISP, Boone handled advertising sales, sponsorships and marketing. He also assisted in the production of UCF Sports Today with George O'Leary and the football weekly radio show.

Prior to joining the UCF-ISP Sports staff, Boone was an account executive in the USF marketing and ticket sales office for one year. After graduating from Florida State in 2003 with a bachelor's degree in marketing, Boone worked as an associate adjuster for USAA Insurance.

The Knights are scheduled to open the 2009 campaign on Sept. 5, hosting Samford at Bright House Networks Stadium. UCF will play seven games at home this year. Season tickets are available by calling (407) UCF-1000 or by visiting UCFAthletics.com.
