ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - UCF men's soccer signee Andrew Quintana has been named to the 15-player EA Sports All-American team, recently announced by ESPN.com. The team was selected by the ESPNRISE.com staff and includes players that represented their high school teams and made the ESPNRISE.com boys soccer seasonal All-American teams.
Quintana recently concluded a standout prep career at Florida Christian High School. The Miami native primarily played as a defender in high school, but also contributed offensively with 21 goals in earning Miami small-school first-team honors.
Aside from his high school accomplishments, Quintana also played for Miami FC Kendall Coalition on the club level and was a member of the United States U-18 men's national team during the past year.
"This honor speaks highly of Andrew's talent as well as the hard work that he has put into his game," said UCF head coach Bryan Cunningham. "We are excited to have Andrew join our program and experience continued success at UCF beginning this fall."
Quintana was one of three players from the state of Florida to earn a spot on the EA Sports All-American team. A full list of the team is below.
