UCF Football Summer Player Update - Corey Rabazinski

June 3, 2009

ORLANDO, Fla. - Corey Rabazinski of Winter Park is eager to get back to action this fall where he is slated to start at H-back for UCF.

Rabazinski's 2008 season was cut short by an injury at Miami, costing the Knights yet another offensive starter. Prior to the injury, Rabazinski had caught nine passes, including a fourth quarter touchdown against USF, and has also helped solidify UCF's offense with his blocking ability. His senior leadership will be welcome both on and off the field this upcoming season.

For season ticket information to see Rabazinski and the Knights in their seven home games this upcoming fall, please contact the Athletic Ticket Office at (407) 823-1000 or go to the tickets page here at UCFAthletics.com.

How do you feel after missing half of last year?
"I think spring really helped out with that as far as getting back into the groove. I don't feel like I'm that far back. I still have a little bit to go but the spring helped out and I'll be ready to go with a good summer."

How important is it to keep working out year-round?
"You can tell the people who work hard during the off season because it pays off during the regular season. The veteran guys especially know that you've got to put in the hard work now to get your conditioning and weight up for the season to be mentally and physically prepared for that first game."

What do you have for classes this summer?
"I'm taking two online classes, business finance and management. Being a senior who graduates in December, I only have a couple classes to go so that should be nice. I can focus more on football."

Do you have any hobbies that you can catch up with this time of year?
"I just moved into a house with Rocky Ross and we go fishing and play golf a little bit. I'm trying to get back on my golf game because during the season you can't really get out there. Rocky's the best player on the team. I've been trying to catch a few tips from him over the summer. We've been at the range a couple times a week. That's one thing that it's been nice to catch up on."

What are the goals for this year?
"We want to win the conference championship. I'm just excited to be getting back out on the field. We have a pretty good returning team. We'll be ready to play and hope to get back that championship feel and go to the Liberty Bowl."
