ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - On Nov. 21, UCF will take on Conference USA opponent Tulane. This is the Knights' final 2009 game at Bright House Networks Stadium. The Green Wave will be making their first trip to the stadium.
The teams have met three times before with UCF holding a 2-1 record. The last matchup was in 2006 in New Orleans where UCF fell to the Green Wave 10-9.
Third-year head coach Bob Toledo has a 6-18 record with Tulane. In 2008, the Green Wave finished 2-10. This year Tulane looks to its veteran players for leadership with eight offensive starters and six defensive starters returning.
Offensive Player to Watch
Running back Andre Anderson rushed for 864 yards and seven touchdowns on 174 carries last year. Anderson rushed for more than 100 yards in four games. He stepped up with 219 yards vs. SMU and 255 yards and two touchdowns at UTEP. He was also selected to the C-USA All-Academic team in 2008.
Defensive Player to Watch
Reggie Scott, a senior, has played in 32 career games with 23 starts. Scott has produced 56 tackles (44 solo), 16.5 stops for lost yardage and seven tackles. Last season he picked off his first career interception vs. East Carolina.
