Orlando, FL (www.UCFAthletics.com) - UCF Athletics is reaching out to the business community throughout greater Orlando, recently joining four of the area's regional chamber of commerce organizations in the past week.
Along with standing memberships in the Orlando Regional Chamber of Commerce and African-American Chamber of Commerce of Central Florida, the Knights have added memberships with the East Orlando, Oviedo-Winter Springs, Winter Park and Seminole County regional chambers. Membership applications with the West Orange Chamber of Commerce and Hispanic Chamber of Commerce are to follow. The move follows a successful spring series of "Community Conversations" with business and community leaders that focused on increasing support for UCF Athletics throughout the region.
"It is important for our staff to continue to build bridges into an ever-growing Orlando community," said Keith Tribble, UCF's Director of Athletics. "We want to create positive and sustaining partnerships with our local business community.
"One of our core initiatives this next fiscal year is to concentrate much of our business relations with our local community, especially within these chamber memberships," added Tribble. "Likewise, we want fellow chamber members to know that the UCF campus and what it offers is the perfect destination for business meetings, conferences and social events."
