ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - During his two years at UCF, senior forward Jean Michel Yotio (Abidjan, Ivory Coast) has rarely been healthy. The post player has suffered several injuries, but now at full strength, he is looking forward to the 2009-10 campaign.
Yotio appeared in 28 contests as a sophomore, averaging 6.6 minutes. He started UCF's season opener against North Carolina A&T, but came off the bench for the rest of the season.
His goals for the summer are simple - avoid injuries and improve his game.
"I want to stay healthy," he said. "The past two years, I have always been injured and I feel like things did not go the way that I wanted. I want to work more on my game and spend more time in the gym."
Yotio will be spending plenty of time in the weight room this summer as well. He currently weighs 240 pounds, but hopes to bulk up to 250 by the start of the regular season.
