TOLEDO, Ohio (UCFAthletics.com) - Despite not completing the second round due to a long rain delay, the 16th-ranked UCF men's golf team moved to a tie for ninth Wednesday at the NCAA Championship at the Inverness Club. As a team, the Knights completed the day 1-over par.
UCF entered the second round in 17th at 16-over 300. The Knights are now tied with Tennessee (583) for ninth at 15-over.
Due to a four-hour rain delay, only 15 of the 30 teams in action were able to play all 18 holes Wednesday. The delay occurred before the Knights started their round.
UCF redshirt freshman Brad Schneider played 16 holes and concluded the day 4-under. At 2-over, he is tied for 23rd, as is freshman Blayne Barber (Lake City, Fla.). Barber has four holes to play before finishing the round.
