ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - UCF head volleyball coach Todd Dagenais was selected by Championship Productions, one of the countries leading sports instructional video companies, to make an instructional video on how to train a libero. Shooting for the film took place on Wednesday afternoon at The Venue at UCF.
Dagenais had a few special guests on hand to help him demonstrate libero skills in the video, as Melissa Reinders and Jenny Heppert were on the floor to help visualize different skills. Also on the court were assistant coaches Sam Shweisky and Michelle Chatman.
No stranger to Championship Productions, Dagenais has shot two other instructional videos for the company while serving as an assistant coach at USC under legendary head coach Mick Haley, including Mick Haley's Defensive Strategies: Team Drills and Progressions and Mick Haley's Defensive Strategies: Individual and Team Skills. Wednesday's shoot for the production company, however, was the first for Dagenais as the head coach at UCF.
Since arriving at UCF last January, Dagenais and members of the Knights' squad were also selected by the Lance Armstrong Foundation and Demand Media to film an instructional volleyball video that appears on LIVESTRONG.com. Dagenais and the Knights are the only group on the site giving instruction on the game of volleyball.
