ORLANDO, Fla. - Senior Stephanie Connelly (Pasadena, Md.) was named to the All-Conference USA women's golf second team in Tuesday in a vote of the league coaches.
It is Connelly's third such career recognition after earning All-C-USA honors in both 2007 and 2008 as well.
Connelly comfortably led the Knights in 2008-09 with a 76.67 stroke average, helping UCF to a school-record second place finish at the C-USA Championships last week. She had a pair of Top 20 finishes, including a seasonal-best share of sixth place at the Edwin Watts / Kiawah Island Classic in February. Connelly was UCF's top shooter at Kiawah Island, October's Derby Invitational at Auburn, and during the annual UCF Challenge on March 8-10 at the RedTail Golf Club in Sorrento, Fla.
Connelly was one of UCF's top two finishers in six of the eight events that she competed in this year. She had three par-or-better rounds including a career-low 69 on Oct. 11 in the second round of the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championships in Knoxville, Tenn.
