In wrapping up the 2008-09 season, Adams and Williams discuss the Knights' run to the title at the Conference USA Women's Basketball Championships and its subsequent berth in the NCAA Tournament where UCF fell 85-80 to third-seeded North Carolina in the first round.
Adams, the voice of UCF women's basketball, also talks with Williams about her coaching and support staff, the teams' schedule for offseason workouts and camps and the addition of incoming recruit Gevenia Carter, who is ranked 61st nationally in the class of 2009 according to ESPNU's HoopGurlz Top 100.
In 2008-09, the Knights overcame a 2-11 start to the season to post a 17-17 overall record, including an 11-5 mark in conference play. Sophomore Emma Cannon (Rochester, N.Y.) was named to the All-Conference USA first team while fellow sophomore Chelsie Wiley (Riviera Beach, Fla.) was tabbed to the third team. Cannon also took C-USA Tournament MVP honors after helping the Knights to their first C-USA tournament title.
