HOUSTON, Texas (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF softball team was schedule to battle Conference USA-rival Houston Saturday in a doubleheader at Cougar Softball Stadium, but due to heavy rain and approaching storms in the area, the Knights rescheduled the pair of contests for Sunday beginning at 12 p.m. ET.
If rain continues throughout the day Sunday, the Black and Gold will have to attempt to play the games on Monday.
The Knights are 21-23 on the season and 6-9 in C-USA action heading into the league-series with the Cougars after defeating Marshall in a pair of games last weekend.
Freshman Natalie Land (Mayo, Fla.) is riding a career-high eight-game hitting streak after posting a single in the seventh inning while battling No. 1 Florida on Wednesday in Gainesville. The seven-game stretch is the longest for any Knight this season.
The UCF softball team will play its final C-USA series of 2009 against UTEP at the UCF Softball Complex on May 2-3.
