Play Suspended at C-USA Women's Golf Championship

April 12, 2009

TULSA, Okla. - The UCF women's golf team will have to wait another day to begin play at the Conference USA Championship as rains in northeastern Oklahoma on Sunday washed out the opening round of competition at the Tulsa Country Club.

The league will attempt to play 36 holes on Monday to make up for today's inclement weather beginning at 9:30 a.m. eastern time. The Knights will take to the course beginning at 10:20 a.m. eastern time when Victoria Tomko (Lontzen, Belgium) tees off. She will be followed, in reverse order of seeding, by Katie Detlefsen (Eagan, Minn.), Elisa Aoki (Bradenton, Fla.), Stephanie Connelly (Pasadena, Md.) and Mayule Tomimbang (Kissimmee, Fla.).

The final round of play will still be played on Tuesday morning as scheduled at the par-72, 6,140-yard course.
