ORLANDO, Fla. -
For the fourth-consecutive year, head coach George O'Leary and the UCF football coaching staff will be hosting a women's clinic for the female fans of the program. The UCF Football 2009 Women's Clinic will be held on Saturday, May 30 this year at the Recruiting Lounge at Bright House Networks Stadium with this year's focus on learning how to run offensive and defensive plays.
"We are always trying to have the women's clinic evolve so it is not the same stuff every year for our returning participants. Last year, we focused on the recruiting aspect of the program, but the girls also had a lot of fun running plays in the indoor facility against each other, so we are going to expand on that by teaching the plays in the classroom before hitting the field," assistant athletics director for football operations Marty O'Leary said.
Growing in popularity each year, participants have packed the team meeting room at the Wayne Densch Sports Center and the more spacious recruiting lounge located on the south concourse of the Knights' home stadium.
The clinic, which will also feature seminars on rules, equipment, nutrition, training and strategy, will run from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. on May 30 with registration set to start at 8:30 a.m. The participants will receive a commemorative t-shirt, lunch and commemorative UCF football keepsakes with a chance at winning larger prizes such as sideline passes, VIP game packages, and authentic team jerseys.
The cost for the four-hour session is only $25 if registered by May 15 and $30 for walkups. UCF students will receive admission for $10.
Participants can register by completing either the pdf registration form or the online registration form, both linked from the top of this page
Participants are encouraged to take McCulloch Road off of Alafaya Trail and turn right at Orion Blvd. for the best access to the event parking.
