ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - With the five-match homestand completed, the UCF women's tennis team embarks on its spring break trip when it heads to New Orleans this week. The Knights will battle Southern Monday at 2 p.m. while also taking on Tulane Tuesday, also at 2 p.m.

Holding a 5-4 record so far this season, the Knights are coming off two tough matches against ranked opponents, including No. 4 Duke. Their doubles play has been very impressive, as UCF has earned the doubles point in four of its last five contests.

Leading the way has been the combination of senior Elvira Serrot and sophomore Jenny Frisell. The duo is a perfect 5-0 after joining forces for the Georgia Southern match, and has not given up more than four games in a match. Serrot and Frisell's biggest victories came in upsets over No. 11 Melissa Mang and Amanda Granson from Duke and No. 33 Berkeley Brock and Lenka Hojckova of NC State.

UCF's trip opens up with a neutral-site match with Southern, which recently went 5-0 at the SWAC East-West Roundup to serve as the only undefeated team in the tournament. The Knights and Jaguars have never met on the tennis court.

Tulane stands at 7-7 on the season and is coming off a tournament win at the Islander Invitational in Corpus Christi, Texas. The Green Wave will play Illinois State Sunday before hosting the Knights, who are 2-2 all-time against Tulane.
