UCF Athletics, CBS College Sports Online team up again at UCFAthletics.com

March 24, 2009

Orlando, FL (www.UCFAthletics.com) - UCF Athletics and CBS College Online Networks unveil a variety of site edits to UCFAthletics.com, the school's official athletics website, which are geared to give fans of the program a more smooth and enhanced experience when visiting the website.

Two key areas were addressed in the latest site enhancement, the addition of online auctions and the appearance of the UCF homepage.

"We will always work to make our website more relevant," said Keith R. Tribble, UCF's Director of Athletics. "The official website serves as our largest marketing tool. We will continue to invest additional resources, such as increasing our video streaming content, so that we continue to offer our fans and supporters the latest in web coverage."

The UCF online auctions kick off in conjunction with other site enhancements, including:

? An assortment of new website mastheads depicting several great UCF Athletics scenes.
? A wider headline photo, and five thumbnail photos underneath (Formerly, the main headline photo was 10 pixels smaller and four thumbnails along the right side).
? The Golden Knights Club has its own drop-down menu off the main navigation bar, as well as its own icon centrally visible on the masthead.
? Below the fold, a large and colorful graphic has been added that will feature key upcoming athletic events.

"We're especially excited about adding the auction element to UCFAthletics.com," said Joe Hornstein, UCF's Associate Director of Athletics. "I've been collecting and hording so many cool items for three years now, waiting for this day to arrive. The auctions actually launched silently a couple of days ago and the response was immediate. With the increased visibility off the homepage, I'm hoping for this to become real successful."

"For UCF fans, alums, student-athletes, and the media, our website is a one-stop shop for everything UCF. You can access all facets of UCF athletics," added Tribble. "Our website showcases all our student-athletes, offers better coverage of our varsity program, and can serve as a tremendous recruiting tool for prospective student-athletes. It can also generate revenue streams through enhanced corporate sponsorship and advertising, online stores, and auctions."

UCFathletics.com will continue to receive CBS College Sports' industry-leading suite of online and new media solutions which includes the All-Access audio and video platform - UCF Knight All-Access, wireless alerts, ticketing, and other fan-based online marketing initiatives. The site will also feature the exclusive GameTrackerTM technology, allowing fans to follow live simulated game action, details and full play-by-play of their favorite teams.
