ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF men's tennis team will continue its long homestand Friday, hosting Winthrop. First serve at the UCF Tennis Complex is set for 9 a.m. and admission is free.
The Knights (7-7) are 6-3 in Orlando in 2009. The team will be in action for the first time since facing No. 33 Miami Sunday.
Sophomore Blaze Schwartz (Pensacola, Fla.) leads UCF with 11 singles victories this spring. Freshman Eugene Dolgovykh (Palm Coast, Fla.) has recorded eight singles wins in dual-match play.
Winthrop is 5-6 overall. The Eagles defeated North Florida, 5-2, in Jacksonville Wednesday. On Thursday the squad is scheduled to play Wichita State on the North Florida campus.
After facing Winthrop, UCF will conclude its eight-match homestand with a contest against New Mexico State on Tuesday afternoon.
