ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Followers of UCF that would like in depth coverage of the Knights should tune into UCF SportsKnight on Tuesday at 12:30 pm on UCF TV and 3:30 p.m. on SunSports. This week's edition includes an interview with women's basketball head coach Joi Williams, who guided the Knights to an impressive run in the Conference USA Championship and victory in championship game.
Each week, viewers are taken inside the past week in UCF athletics by graduate Jeff Sharon during the 30-minute program. Throughout the week, UCF TV, Bright House Sports Network and FOX Sports Atlantic air replays of the show.
The SportsKnight Spotlight shines on the senior first baseman Kiko Vazquez. Vazquez is one of the leaders on the UCF baseball team and provides power for the Knights in the middle of the order. The senior was selected onto the C-USA First Team and C-USA All-Academic Team during his sophomore campaign.
The women's basketball team won four games in four days at the C-USA Championship from March 5-8. Williams will discuss the impressive run for the Knights with Sharon and what to expect in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. UCF was selected as a 14 seed in the tournament and will play its first game against three-seeded North Carolina on Saturday at noon in Chattanooga, Tenn.
The plays of the week and highlights from this past week in UCF Athletics will be shown on this week's episode including baseball, softball and women's golf. Further information on the Knights is provided to the viewers through the news and notes section, which includes upcoming events.
