Orlando, FL (www.UCFAthletics.com) - RaeLynn McAfee has begun her new tenure as UCF Athletics' new Assistant Athletics Director for Marketing and Promotions. McAfee joined the UCF Athletics staff following four and a half years in the Virginia Tech sports marketing office, most recently as the Director of Marketing and Promotions. McAfee will oversee the marketing and promotional activities for UCF Athletics.
As Virginia Tech's Director of Marketing and Promotions, McAfee was responsible for coordinating all marketing and promotional activities for three successful programs (women's basketball, baseball and men's soccer). Additionally, she was the lead on-field producer for the Atlantic Coast Conference champion football team. Overall, she was responsible for the Hokies' advertising, marketing internship program and coordination of special events.
Earlier in her Virginia Tech tenure, she managed the marketing of up to 14 Olympic sports and operation of the Hokies' Kid's Club.
Prior to Virginia Tech, McAfee served as Marketing and Sponsorship Manager for the Indiana Firebirds of the Arena Football League, and previously their Director of Community Relations.
McAfee received a Master of Science degree in Education from Virginia Tech in December, 2007. She is a former letterwinner in women's basketball from the University of Dayton, where she graduated in 2001 Magna cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications.
